I would actually bet that it will get updates later than the PC version. The core gameplay in skirmishes and multiplayer is great, though, and the balance isn't as bad as this subreddit would have you believe (I play all 4 factions).Įdit: As far as polish, I wouldn't count on the console version being more polished than the PC version. The Italian campaign is tedious, the African campaign is short, and both are easy. If you have an even halfway modern PC, even with integrated graphics, I'd probably give CoH 1 a try to see what you think.Īs far as CoH 3 goes, it lacks some polish (glitches, placeholders, etc), but it's well optimized and has 4 factions (more than any other CoH at launch and more than most RTS games). That said I can understand playing on console if you just want to dip your toes in or need to save money. I've played RTS games for a long time, both on console and PC, and I'd rather play them on an old laptop than a new console. If you're seriously interested in RTS games, get a PC.
